One of the best places I can imagine to build on recovery. Alan is a good man and cares about each person there, and all who have come through the Cleveland House. I look back on my time there as some of the best days of my life

I've been here at the house for a month and a half now. I couldn't pick a better group of boys to be living with in a halfway house. Alan the owner really cares about the wellbeing of everyone here and is just a great guy all around. Couldn't pick a better halfway to live in , not to mention it's literally a 2 minute walk from the beach!

Cleveland house screams serenity. Morning meetings, Walks on the beach, biking on the boardwalk, snorkeling, Swimming in the pool. the the everyday stress of the world pass you by while you work on your recovery and Sobriety.

This sober living community is the best I've ever encountered. Physically, it is ideally located in on the beach which is a great environment for recovering alcoholics and addicts to achieve serenity with their environment and learn to enjoy the real things life has to offer. In addition to its location, Cleveland House is rich with amenities that many other sober communities, or halfway houses do not provide. Amenities such as house bikes, gym memberships, heated swimming pool to name a few. The owner, Alan is one of the most caring individuals I have met. With over 28 years of sobriety Alan knows that things that cause relapse and has seen it all. He goes the extra mile and makes numerous personal and financial sacrifices for the property and residents. If you are looking for a great place to get your life back on track, this is the place. Your immediate needs (food and other life necessities) are taken care of, and assistance is provided for transportation as well as getting a job search under way. Stay here with the intention of rebuilding your life, and you will leave here a new and improved person.

I needed help getting sober and I didn't have anybody to turn to. I had got a DUI, lost my job and didn't have any insurance. I had meet Alan Rubin the owner of the Cleveland House and asked him for help. To my surprise he was able to get me in a detox, BARC had turned me down because of medical issues. That was 9 months ago and I am sober today. The Cleveland House with Alan and Julio (the house manager) were what I needed to get my life back on track. The program gave me structure and an opportunity to get involved in a twelve step program (AA for me). I got an AA sponsor and am working the 12 Steps. I meet friends there and stopped being a loner, drunks usually are that way. Thanks for all of the help you gave me!

The reviews that are posted, about the Cleveland House are not true. Here are individuals who have squandered their opportunity to be in a beautiful place to get clean and sober. Alan the owner cares about everyone in the house. But it's difficult when they don't care about themselves. It's not about money. It's about fun in the sun in sobriety. What other sober house you know of, that has AA meetings on the property? What other sober house you know of that has a heated swimming pool and it's right on the ocean. These bad review writers, wanted their way and they wanted it right now. So, please ignore these pompous and rude reviews about Alan or Julio.
